A typical night out in Peru

Last night was our last change to have a proper night out in Cuzco as we have to get up at a stupid time in the morning to go to Manchu Pichu so we thought we do it in style. It went a bit strange though.

The other day our mate, Ian the near hollywood star, showed us a flyer heīd found for a curry house in Cuzco. As you can imagine India food is not going spare in South America and we pretty much spend all our time trying to find curry. That is when we are not playing darts, teaching a parrot to say bastard or indulging in my new hobby, skidding on polished floors.

We knew that the night would have to kick off in the curry house so we wandered off into a random part of the town only really partly believing that an actual curry house existed. After a while we did indeed find Cuzco Curry House and we were greeted by the english woman who owned it. So there really is a curry house in Cuzco, South American tourists take note. To make it authenically south american they did have Alpaca Jalfazi on the menu. We are going back for that later. YEAH!

After this we went for our regular darts practice in the biker pub. We are still shit.

Then it went odd. We were pulled into a random bar as is the way in Cuzco only to find that it was empty apart from some french people playing scrabble and the owner and her friends. Catherine was conversing with the owner lady in her cunning spanglish so we ended up sitting with them. One dude who was there started chatting to us. He was a samba DJ and we talked about music and about England and drum and bass and stuff but then the conversation turned to his bro. It turns out (so he said, I believed him) that his bro runs the cocaine trade in Cuzco. Cocaine is really big in Cuzco. Itīs like they grow it here...

The dude was saying about how his bro was a bit crazy but had his heart in the right place but had been in earlier on and smashed his mobile up. At this point we were thinking it was a good idea to go and not meet his bro but he was a nice bloke and was pouring us lots of drinks. He was telling me about how cheap charlie is here and stuff and I was nodding along.

Then, he just he put a massive bag of charlie in my hand and was going "Here have a try, as much as you want, you can buy it for 100 soles (which is about 15 quid)", hmm, we thought it was time to move out. We just started making odd excuses like "We have to get up early tomorrow" and "We have to go through bolvian customs". He laughed at that one. Time to go it was.

After this we decided to go to the salsatecha. It was more normal there.

Dan said we were shit at darts. This is totally untrue. We were experimenting with aiming and everything last night. I for one have an ability to consistantly hit the three or one when aiming for twenty.

So by "not shit" you mean you're happy with actually hitting the dart board? :)
