I just heard yesterday that I got a contract so gainful employment is once again mine. Catherine is on the case doing lots of Word and Excel tests (and discovering it's not as easy as it looks) so hopefully she will gain employment soon too. Good thing is we can start doing stuff and spending some cash again rather than wondering around St Kilda trying not to incur any costs. Hoorah!

We just got to Melbourne and it is great. They even have good music, actually quite a lot of good music, we went to see Plantlife the other night and they rocked, the lead singer bloke is like prince. In general, Melbourne is quite like some of the nicer bits of London but cheaper and more friendly, and the weather is really good.
I can not emphasise enough how great cases of wine are. Everyone should have some. Mmmm..... cheap and delicious, and good for home improvements too. When Dan and I have collected enough of these delicious bountiful beauties we are going to make a partition between our kitchen and our lounge/bedroom.
You do realise what kind of area you're moving into, don't you?

We are now housed for the next few months in Melbourne. We managed to find a little studio flat almost straight away in an extremely jammy way. It's right in the middle of St Kilda which seems to be the only place you can stay easily if you want a short term contract in a little but pretty nice studio flat just off Grey Street.

Catherine didn't manage to get us an upgrade for the flight with her injured ankle. Unfortunately, after a proper doctor looked at it in KL it's got a hell of alot better and she's not far off normal walkdom. This did not do our case for an upgrade any good at all. Oh well, still we have made it to Melbourne.

It's very good here, I have to say. Tasty proper indian curry all over the place. Three of the latest DVDs for just over a quid. Various very large buildings. YEAH!
