This week, our final week in civilisation before we head to Ecuador, we've spent staying with Martin and Tina in Philly. It's been pretty action packed and very american.

He's the greatest at brewing beer, the greatest at drinking, the greatest at walking around the moors, the best sandwich maker, the best cheese on toast chef, the most fantastic engraver ever, the best builder of random buildings, fighter of ghosts and friend of the little fairy people, plus he's the 1982 Arm Wrestling Champion of the World!

Me and Dan's road trip was FAB. We have been to muchos places on the west coast of America (and a bit of Canada) and it was great.

I forgot to say in all the excitement of the past entry but we are currently part way through driving from San Francisco to Vancover in a great big massive car that we accidentally rented. For the road fans out there we've been following Highway 1 and 101 up the coast and have just got into Oregon, home of the many tasty micro-breweries.

About an hour ago we walked into the bar of our hotel in Northern California somewhere and a news flash came onto the TV. It said that there'd been an earthquake of the coast of America and our region was issued a tsunami warning. This was quite improtant to us as we can see the coast from where we are staying (about 100m away) so us and all the other people in the bar legged out of the bar without finishing our drinks (the sin of it).
